Ilja Dragunov Joins NXT Main Event Scene To Close September 20 Episode

An NXT UK star is back and has just popped up in the main event scene of WWE NXT!

As the NXT UK and NXT crossovers continue, Tyler Bate took on JD McDonaugh to determine who would move on to face Bron Breakker for the WWE NXT Championship.

With Bron Breakker on commentary for the big battle, the crowd was squarely behind the exciting match, even chanting, “fight forever.”

After a hard hitting affair in which both men laid it all on the line, ultimately it was JD McDonaugh who emerged victorious.

While Breakker vs. McDonaugh 2 was being set up in the ring, a familiar face emerged much to McDonaugh’s chagrin.

In a post-match angle, returning former champ Ilja Dragunov walked to the ring.

The show ended as all three men stood in the center of the ring with particularly JD seething at the appearance!

Ilja Dragunov was most recently NXT UK champion however was forced to relinquish the title due to injury back in July after sustaining an injury.
