NXT Star Reveals How They Signed With WWE

Shotzi Blackheart has made an interesting impression her first year in NXT. Since debuting in December of 2019, she has started to rise through the ranks of the women’s division.

Now, she has revealed how she came to be signed by WWE. It all happened when William Regal offered her a deal at an EVOLVE seminar she was working at. Here is the quote from her appearance on Chasing Glory, courtesy of Wrestling News:

“William Regal gave me my contract. I started wrestling for EVOLVE which is closely tied to WWE. He was doing a lot of seminars for EVOLVE at the time. He was there for that. After my match he came into the ring, I was already leaving and I thought William Regal was going to cut a promo but he said, ‘Wait, get back in here.’  He said, ‘Do you want a contract?’ I said sure. I was super emotional, I wasn’t that nonchalant.”

Shotzi Blackheart is currently scheduled to captain a WarGames team. At NXT TakeOver: WarGames she will be facing Candice LeRae, Toni Storm, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez in the double cage. She hasn’t yet announced her partners but it has been implied they will be Ember Moon, Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai.
