It was reported two weeks ago that NXT and 205 Live star Oney Lorcan had requested his release from WWE.
Lorcan signed for WWE in 2015 and it is believed that his deal is set to expire in a few months. During his time on NXT, Lorcan hasn’t won any titles, but has challenged for the NXT Tag Team and NXT Cruiserweight Championships.
Since the report emerged, Lorcan has not wrestled on NXT TV or 205 Live. However, he has now revealed that he has signed a new WWE deal.
Taking to Twitter, Oney revealed that he will be staying with WWE for the foreseeable future.
I AM PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT I HAVE AGREED TO A NEW MULTI YEAR CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT MAY THE WRESTLING GODS HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOULS

There is no word on how long Oney’s new deal is, so stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest on that.
It is also not known why Lorcan changed his mind about re-signing with WWE, so perhaps we will see him pushed on NXT TV far more moving forward.
