EC3 suffered a nasty black eye and laceration during his match against Velveteen Dream last night at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV. He shared the picture of the aftermath on Twitter following the event.

Though it’s unknown exactly when the injury occurred, towards the end of the clash the star could be seen visibly bleeding from the eye. Seconds later, Velveteen nailed a Dream Valley Driver and Purple Rainmaker on the apron for the victory.
While it’s unlikely he will miss action due to the bruise, NXT will certainly want to protect one of their VIP’s with August and September’s television tapings coming this week.
