An NXT star has hinted that they have a “big surprise” in store for their segment on tonight’s episode of NXT.
At NXT TakeOver: In Your House, LA Knight defeated Cameron Grimes in a ladder match to win the Million Dollar Title. On tonight’s show, The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase will “officially crown” Knight the champion.
The planned coronation ceremony might not be smooth-sailing. On Busted Open Radio, Knight stated that he had a “big surprise” for DiBiase, noting:
“Ted’s still going to be around. I need him, I want him to be there. I think I have a pretty big surprise coming for him, because I owe him, big time at this point. So I definitely want to make sure that he’s around for sure.”
On Sunday, Knight became the fourth individual ever to win the Million Dollar Championship. He is the first titleholder since the belt was deactivated in 2010 following Ted DiBiase Jr’s reign.
Also on tonight’s episode, William Regal will address the future of NXT after stating that it was time for a change. It has been speculated that Samoa Joe will appear during the segment, following reports that he has returned to NXT.
