This year has been hard for a lot of people in wrestling. This is especially true for those unable to return to their respective promotions because of the travel ban. One such person has been Pete Dunne.
Dunne was in the midst of an NXT Tag Team Championship run with Matt Riddle when the pandemic began. Since then, he has been forced to remain in the United Kingdom, unable to return to NXT. Now, we know he is getting work as a producer for NXT UK. Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT pointed out that Dunne now has a producer credit for the brand.

It was also announced that Dunne would be involved in the drawing for NXT UK’s Heritage Cup. Whether he will have a larger role in the tournament remains to be seen. The tournament drawing is set to take place next week.

Dunne has not wrestled since he and Riddle defended the NXT Tag Titles against Undisputed Era on the March 11 episode of NXT. This was the final NXT before the pandemic began. In his absence, Dunne revealed that Timothy Thatcher would be replacing him as Riddle’s tag partner. The move would not go as planned as Thatcher would turn on Riddle and cost them the titles.
