Last week, WWE confirmed that NXT will be moving to the USA Network next month. The new show will run for two hours every week.
It has since been speculated that Shayna Baszler, who was being prepped for a move to WWE’s main roster, could stay in NXT instead.
On that note, Dave Meltzer has said on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that many NXT stars are also hoping that Vince McMahon’s doesn’t send them to either Raw or Smackdown:
“I know there are guys — I don’t know who they express it — but, it probably wouldn’t be difficult to figure out who they are who are not clamoring to go up there because they know they’re not gonna be happy. They’re happy, but they’re making 1/3 of the money and probably less than 1/3.”
Meltzer provided no specific names when discussing the above.
It certainly isn’t a good sign that many NXT stars feel they will be unhappy if they move up to WWE’s main roster. This comes after it was reported that Cesaro and Drew McIntyre, amongst others, constantly asking Triple H about working in NXT/NXT UK.
