It’s being reported that former NXT stars Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox are now officially members of the SmackDown brand.
The duo appeared as a tag team on this past Friday’s episode of SmackDown and picked up a win over WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina.
As you may have guessed by them winning, PWInsider has confirmed that it was not a one-off and they are officially both on SmackDown now.
The blue brand was in dire need of additions to its women’s division after having a very depleted roster due to the recent releases and other absences such as Sasha Banks and the now-injured Bayley.
It appears this isn’t something that had been planned for a while as Blackheart was still in a team with Ember Moon in NXT and Nox had just returned after weeks of teases to enter a feud with Candice LeRae.
There were also vignettes on Friday’s show that former NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm has been called up and will be debuting soon.
