NXT Stars Interfere In Big Match On SmackDown WWE

A pair of NXT stars made their WWE SmackDown television debuts, leading to a big win. Find out who made their way to the main roster!

In another Money in the Bank qualifying match on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, NXT stars proved to be pivotal in the match finish.

With Baron Corbin recently feuding with a number of stars in NXT, two foes in Trick Williams and the NXT World Champion Carmelo Hayes, were at ringside for Corbin’s qualifying match against Butch.

However Corbin was perhaps a bit preoccupied with his observers or had underestimated Butch but nevertheless, Baron Corbin lost the match after continuing to keep his mind on the NXT stars instead of his opponent.

After the match, there was a pull apart brawl after Corbin taunted Melo who jumped the barricade for a short tussle before the group was disbanded by officials.

With a segment backstage after the match by which the Brawling Brutes were excitedly chanting in preparation for turning their Money in the Bank trip into a giant UK ‘fight night’, they were interrupted.

A bitter Baron Corbin said that it their match wasn’t fair because Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams had been out there, however his complaints were quickly interrupted.

He was attacked by another recent NXT call up, Cameron Grimes who smacked Corbin down as Butch, Sheamus and Ridge Holland stood by amused.

Corbin will be in action on the next episode of NXT as well, against Ilja Dragunov in a match that will likely determine Hayes’ next challenger.
