NXT Superstar Gets Backlash For April Fool’s Joke On Twitter

Taynara Conti decided to try to lighten the mood on Twitter today. She posted a picture of herself with a positive pregnancy test.

Several WWE Superstars were not quick to think about it being April 1. Natalya and Renee Young posted congratulations in response.

The angle she took the photo and displaying of her belly made it appear she might not be joking.  An hour later, she posted April Fool’s.

Several people thought took the joke in stride. Renee and Nikki Cross didn’t seem to mind.

However, a lot of folks were not thrilled with her choice of a topic for the joke.  Some felt it’s not cool to joke when so many people struggle to get pregnant.

Personally, even as someone who’s family has struggled with fertility, I’m not offended. I think people just need to have a sense of humor.

I’m sure Taynara didn’t mean any harm. Unfortunately, someone will find a reason to be upset about anything.  In today’s world, you just have to be extra sensitive to not offend.

Or I guess you could just not care.
