Adding to the news that SummerSlam will be seven hours in length this year, NXT have now announced that this year’s show from Brooklyn will receive a brand new start time.
Beginning an hour earlier than usual, the pre-show will begin at 6pm EST with the main attraction going live at 7pm EST instead of its usual 8pm EST start-time. It has yet to be announced whether this change means an increase in length as has been rumored for some time.

The news is joyous for fans in the United Kingdom who won’t have to stay up as late to see the entire event, considering they will be awake until 5am the following evening.
NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV’s main event will see the rivalry between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano continue as the pair do battle in a Last Man Standing Match for the NXT Championship. The change came about after Aleister Black was withdrawn due to a groin injury.
This year’s August TakeOver will air live from the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York, on August 18.
