Other than Corey Graves, WWE’s main roster announcing teams are pretty much the worst thing about their weekly shows. Michael Cole, Jonathan Coachman, Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton have as much charisma as a widowed moose.
NXT however is a different story.
Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Percy Watson add something to each show they call, and much like many of the NXT wrestlers, show that the main roster doesn’t always mean better.
Unfortunately for NXT fans however, Ranallo will not be able to announce at this weekend’s TakeOver: Chicago II show due to prior commitments.

For those of you who may not know Vic Joseph, he currently announces on 205 Live and is showing great promise as a WWE commentator of the future.
This will arguably be the biggest announcing gig of his career and one I am sure he will be very impressive in.
So no “Mama Mia!” this weekend, but it could be worse, it could be “boss time for the big dog.”
Should WWE think about giving the main roster announcement team a refresh? Let us know in the comments.
