At Worlds Collide, NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate and NXT Champion Bron Breakker met in a historic title unification bout.
Before Bate’s entrance, a brief tribute to the NXT UK Championship aired featuring Bate. At the beginning of the match, chants of ‘Tyler two belts’ and ‘big strong boi’ echoed throughout the Performance Center, with the crowd clearly taking a side.
At expected, Bate used his technical skill to tie up Breakker. The NXT Champion made his comeback with power maneuvers. Bate also showed off his power with his signature fireman’s carry spin and clothesline.
Bron Breakker ultimately got the win, pinning Bate after reversing Bate’s rebound clothesline into a vicious spear.
Prior to the bout, Breakker had held the NXT Title for 153 days. Bate had won the NXT UK Championship at an NXT UK taping on July 7, with his title win only airing on the September 1 episode.
Earlier in the night, Mandy Rose defeated Blair Davenport & Meiko Satomura to become the unified NXT Women’s Champion.
Pretty Deadly also won the NXT vs NXT UK tag team title unification match, last eliminating the Creed Brothers following an assist from Damon Kemp.
Main roster stars Ricochet, Doudrop and Nikki ASH were unsuccessful in their title bouts at NXT Worlds Collide, with Ricochet losing to North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Katana Chance & Kayden Karter defeating ASH & Doudrop.
