WWE Star Ruled Out Of Big Match Due To Recent Injury WWE

A WWE star has been ruled out of an upcoming, first of its kind match due to continued injury despite being considered for the role.

With a panel of WWE Hall of Famers meeting on tonight’s edition of NXT (November 29) to discuss which NXT stars would be included in the upcoming Iron Survivor Challenge matches.

With Shawn Michaels appearing alongside X-Pac, Road Dogg, Molly Holly, and Alundra Blayze to discuss who deserves inclusion in the match, numerous names were thrown out.

One that was ruled out?

Tony D’Angelo, as Shawn Michaels noted that he wouldn’t be ready for the kind of action they would anticipate to see in the challenging Iron Survivor Challenge match.

Going on to point out that if he were to ask D’Angelo, he would undoubtedly want to participate however sometimes it comes down to “protecting talent from themselves,” said Michaels.

D’Angelo will be returning to the ring on NXT next week, though.

With a multitude of names discussed, the field of five was not narrowed down specifically however the panel did discuss Carmelo Hayes, JD McDonagh, Grayson Waller, Joe Gacy and Von Wagner.

Elsewhere on NXT, the show kicked off with a match that was teased on social media and a star back to NXT from the main roster made his in-ring return.
