It is being reported by trusted YouTube channel Heel by Nature, that NXT UK is stopping their contracted talent accepting indie dates up to a week prior to tapings in order to halt them picking up injuries. This comes in the wake of Travis Banks turning up injured to the inaugural recordings in Cambridge this past week.

Usually able to accept any dates they wish, as long as said bookings don’t clash with their WWE commitments, NXT UK stars will lose both revenue and arguably some fan support for pulling out of shows they’ve already been advertised for. This can’t be good for anyone other than WWE.
It’s yet to be seen whether the talent will revolt in some shape or form and whilst it’s easy to see where WWE are coming from – they have made a huge investment in these stars – it hurts both the indies from which they pluck their talent as well as fans who are known to be fickle over rulings such as this. It could also halt British wrestlers deciding to sign with the company in the future.
