The NXT UK Heritage Cup tournament has officially come to a close. On today’s edition of NXT UK, A-Kid managed to capture the title as the last man remaining in the tournament.
The final match of the tournament took place today as A-Kid defeated Trent Seven. This had been each man’s third match of the tournament and after two weeks to prepare, A-Kid’s technical wizardry was too much for Seven.

In his trip to the final, A-Kid first defeated Flash Morgan Webster in the first round. After that initial success, he followed up that performance with a match against Noam Dar in the semi-final. Sure enough, A-Kid was once again able to out-wrestle his opponents.
On the other side of the bracket, Trent Seven had to first defeat Kenny Williams in the first round. He then had to make it past the mountain of a man in Dave Mastiff in the semi-final before falling to eventual winner A-Kid.
The Heritage Cup tournament was held under British Rounds Rules, much different from your average WWE tournament.
All matches consist of six three-minute rounds with 20-second breaks between each round. All matches were 2-out-of-3 falls with falls only being won by pinfall, submission, or countout. Once a fall occursed, the round ended and the match ended once a wrestler had won two falls.
