NXT was able to keep their audience numbers over 1 million viewers in the 2nd live show. However, the numbers did drop a bit compared to last week.
The NXT debut on USA posted 1.179 million viewers last week. This week’s episode slid to 1.006 viewers.
For 18-49 year olds, NXT dropped to 8th place after coming in 4th last week. It also fell amongst males.

Last week, NXT grabbed a .56 rating for males in its debut. However, the show only did a .40 this week.
When you compare the show to Smackdown, NXT is pulling in about half the number of viewers of the average Smackdown.
What will be really interesting will be to see how the numbers breakdown next week when AEW debuts on TNT. Will it be able to maintain its viewership?
Or will the AEW show split viewers? If you look at Monday Night Raw, the flagship show, it draws around 3 million viewers.
Will AEW be able to pull in more of those viewers? Will it be able to pull in lapsed viewers?
Are NXT fans just a subset of the Monday Night Audience or a completely different group of fans?
We don’t have answers to any of these questions at this time. However, we will begin to know a lot more after the next month or so of Wednesday night wrestling.
WrestleTalk will have live coverage of both shows next Wednesday. Be sure to check in here for all the coverage.
