NXT Viewership Down For October 19 Episode

The viewership figures for the October 19 edition of NXT 2.0, ahead of next week’s Halloween Havoc special, have been revealed.

As per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, Tuesday’s episode was watched by an average of 606,000 viewers. This is down from the 632,000 viewers who tuned in on October 12.

This is the lowest total viewership the show has drawn since the pre-reboot September 7 episode, which drew 601,000 viewers on average.

In the key 18-49 demographic, the show earned a 0.14 rating, roughly 180,000 viewers in the demo. This is also down from the 0.15 rating last week’s show received.

It is worth noting that NXT faced head-to-head sports competition from a Warriors-Lakers NBA game, MLB, and NHL.

On the show, Johnny Gargano finally completed his babyface turn, confronting new North American Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, before chasing them off with the help of Dexter Lumis.

Gargano’s WWE contract is reportedly set to expire in December, and there is no word yet on if he has re-signed with the company.

The card for next week’s Halloween Havoc show was also finalised, which you can check out here.

Jacy Jayne appeared to pick up an injury during the episode, after she was removed from her three-way match against Io Shirai and Persia Pirotta following a botched suicide dive. An update has emerged on the status of Jayne, following the show.
