The overnight viewership figures for the August 24 episode of NXT, following Sunday’s NXT TakeOver 36 special, have been revealed.
As per ShowBuzzDaily, Tuesday’s episode of NXT drew 685,000 viewers. This is an increase from the 654,000 viewers who tuned in on August 17.
The show received a 0.16 rating the 18-49 demographic., slightly up from last week’s 0.15 rating. NXT ultimately finished 27th on cable for Tuesday night.
This week’s show was pre-taped, following NXT TakeOver 36 on August 22. During his first appearance since winning the NXT Championship, Samoa Joe was confronted by Pete Dunne, LA Knight, Kyle O’Reilly, Ridge Holland and Tommaso Ciampa.
Also on the show, Carmelo Hayes was crowned the NXT Breakout Tournament winner after defeating Odyssey Jones.
Following reports that Pete Dunne’s NXT contract expires soon, an update has emerged surrounding Dunne’s WWE status.
