After the match, NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler stared down Candice LeRae on the stage. Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke backed up their partner as they surrounded LeRae.
At this time, it is unknown when the championship match will take place. The next Takeover event is currently just over two months away and is the most likely venue for the bout. This will be LeRae’s first opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship.
LeRae was defeated by Io Shirai at NXT Takeover: Toronto, while Baszler successfully defended her title against Mia Yim.
NXT is currently underway as they make their debut on the USA Network.
