For some time now there have been rumours and reports that WWE could be looking to move NXT out of Full Sail and for it to become a touring brand like Raw and SmackDown.
According to PWInsider, however, that won’t be happening any time soon, because NXT is contractually locked into its regular live shows at the venue through to the end of March 2020.
The rumoured reason WWE wants to get NXT out of the 400-seater arena is because of how it could be conceived as having a lesser feel than its Wednesday night competitor AEW: Dynamite, which is a touring show held in multi-thousand-seat arenas each week.
You’d think WWE would be extra keen on getting this done as soon as possible considering NXT was convincingly put over as the dominant brand at Survivor Series this past Sunday.
The yellow brand came out of Sunday’s show with a 4-2-1 advantage over SmackDown and Raw respectively, with two of the matches they didn’t win coming on the pre-show.
We will live coverage of tonight’s NXT here at WrestleTalk.com featuring two championship matches and all the fallout from both Survivor Series and TakeOver: WarGames.
