It has been reported for a number of months now that NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler is being prepped for a call-up to WWE’s main roster.
Reports even emerged suggest that WWE was planning a Raw Women’s Championship feud between Becky Lynch and Shayna Baszler for the near future.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated that with NXT moving to the USA Network next month, Shayn’s main roster call-up might be called off:
“Shayna at her age, do they move her up? And I know Shayna was gonna be moved up.”
This would certainly make sense. Based on Shayna Baszler’s age, WWE might opt to have her act as an iconic figure in NXT for years to come.
