NXT’s Saurav Gurjar Apologizes For Spoiling Title Change

One of the most baffling botches of the year didn’t even come in the ring. At NXT’s Great American Bash, Keith Lee captured the NXT Championship from Adam Cole. However, many people already knew it would happen because Suarav Gurjar spoiled the result on his Instagram.

Fightful Select (subscription required) reported that Gurjar apologized during a recent backstage meeting. There is said to be no lingering heat on him and no punishment is thought to be coming. It was also said that Gurjar apologized directly to Keith Lee as well.

Fightful noted that those they talked to in the company were just baffled that he thought that was a good idea. The photo clearly showed Lee celebrating with his newly won NXT Championship.

Gurjar made his NXT debut earlier this year as part of Indus Sher alongside partner Rinku. They have been managed by Malcolm Bivens although they haven’t been used very often on television. The group attacked Matt Riddle back in March to make their official debuts. Gurjar is said to be a favourite of Performance Center trainer Matt Bloom.
