Oba Femi Addresses Reaction To Cody Rhodes WWE Match WWE

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw Cody Rhodes take on Oba Femi, with the NXT Champion now addressing the reaction.

The match opened the December 13 show, with Femi making his entrance after the WWE Champion, but would end in a no-contest thanks to interference from Drew McIntyre.

Femi has now addressed the fan reaction to his first main roster match against Rhodes, also revealing why he came out second.

Speaking on the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Recap, Femi looked at his standard of work in NXT, noting he didn’t feel “out of place”, saying:

“It just goes to show how much work I’ve put into this. I’m undeniable at this point.

“My body of work in NXT spoke for itself, and tonight the match paid dividends, the crowd reacted to me like I’ve been here for decades, like I’ve been here for a very long time.

“It didn’t feel like I didn’t belong, it didn’t feel like I was out of place, the work speaks for itself.

“I knew they were going to (chant to his entrance theme). I came out on Friday Night SmackDown yesterday, and they responded.

“I had the Oba Feminists in the crowd chanting my name, doing the ‘hoo’, so no surprise there. No surprise that Cody comes out first, you have to make the people wait for what they really want to see.

“The Ruler is what they came to see; they’ve seen Cody Rhodes a thousand times, this is special.”
