Oba Femi & Tony D’Angelo WWE NXT Status Update WWE

An update has emerged on the statuses of WWE NXT’s Oba Femi and Tony D’Angelo amid speculation regarding a future main roster call-up for both stars.

It has been three months since we last saw former WWE NXT North American Champion Tony D’Angelo compete on NXT television, with “The Don” being mysteriously ‘killed off’ Sopranos style on the July 29 episode of NXT.

While there have been reports linking D’Angelo with a main roster call-up, the 30-year-old will seemingly be returning to an NXT ring before that happens, with both he and former NXT Champion Oba Femi featured on social media advertisements for NXT’s live events in Columbus, Detroit and Cleveland on October 9, 10 & 11.

As can be seen below, D’Angelo and Femi are featured alongside Trick Williams, Sol Ruca and Jaida Parker on the posters for the shows, suggesting that they will be making appearances.

It was recently reported that D’Angelo asked for time off from WWE and was not injured.

Femi recently lost the NXT Championship to Ricky Saints at WWE No Mercy, leading to anticipation from fans that “The Ruler” could be bound for Raw or SmackDown, however, there’s not been any confirmation that a call-up is imminent.

We will provide updates on Femi and D’Angelo’s potential appearances at these events as they happen.
