Oba Femi Discusses Joining Main Roster, Names WWE Mentors WWE

Former NXT Champion Oba Femi has shared his thoughts on his jump to the main roster, naming the mentors he goes to when he needs something.

Since his impressive performance in January’s Royal Rumble match, Oba Femi has established himself as a dominant force on the main roster, scoring a number of victories on SmackDown.

Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Oba Femi addressed the differences between NXT and the main roster, stating:

There is a lot more traveling on the main roster. A way bigger audience and platform. I’m glad that everything I was able to do over at NXT happened.

“I was able to translate to the main roster effortlessly, seamlessly. The crowd has been behind me. They know my schtick. They know what I do.

“The ruler is here to stay on the main roster.”

When asked if he has anyone on the road who is helping to ease his transition, Femi replied:

“Nobody in particular on the road. I always have my mentors I go to like my Ivar’s and my Coach (Matt) Bloom’s, so they have always been there for me. Nobody on the road though.”
