Omos Eyeing Match With Newly Called Up WWE Raw Star WWE

The Nigerian Giant Omos has stepped into the ring with some of WWE’s top stars in recent months, including a WrestleMania clash with Brock Lesnar and a match with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins at Backlash in Puerto Rico.

However, he has his eyes on stepping into the ring with a newer name, specifically a newly called up NXT star.

Speaking on the It’s Mike Jones podcast, Omos singled out Odyssey Jones, who was called up to Raw as part of the 2023 WWE Draft, as someone he hopes to step into the ring with on Raw.

He said:

“Him and I were in the same class together and learned how to wrestle. Hopefully whenever he gets to build up his name, we get to wrestle one another, because I think Odyssey Jones, man, he has a huge [future] ahead of him.”

Odyssey has yet to make his debut on the red brand following his call-up in the Draft, not featuring in this week’s Battle Royal to determine an Intercontinental Championship challenger for Gunther.

The Battle Royal was won by Mustafa Ali, who will challenge Gunther for the title at Night of Champions next weekend.
