There has been a health update for Orange Cassidy after a scary injury during his match with PAC on AEW Dynamite.
On last night’s show, Cassidy was legitimately hurt during the AEW Championship #1 contender match. The finish of the bout was changed on the fly to protect the injured performer.
As per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cassidy is OK. It was noted that he was seen socializing with other talent backstage following last night’s Dynamite taping. It is also reportedly believed that Cassidy will be fine to compete come Double or Nothing on May 30.
PAC vs Cassidy ended with Kenny Omega running down and laying out PAC, with neither competitor answering the referee’s 10-count. The planned finish of the match involved PAC and Cassidy wrestling to a time limit draw.
It was later announced that Kenny Omega will defend his AEW Championship against both competitors at Double or Nothing in a three-way match.
Also on last night’s show, Miro defeated Darby Allin to become TNT Champion. This ended Allin’s 186 day reign with the title. After the show went off the air, Allin had some emotional words for the Jacksonville audience.
