Original Plan For Triple H On WWE SmackDown Revealed

Original Plan For Triple H On WWE SmackDown Revealed

Last week’s SmackDown aired from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show was relocated from Detroit due to the Coronavirus outbreak. It appears like the PC will be the home for WWE shows for the “foreseeable future”.

The show kicked off with a typically great promo from Triple H, and “The Game” joined Michael Cole on commentary for the show. For what it’s worth HHH was one of the best things about the show, he and Cole gave the show a relaxed tone.

However, it has emerged that Triple H wasn’t supposed to be on commentary for the whole show. The plan was to have other guests join Michael Cole at the commentary booth throughout the broadcast.

Fightful Select is reporting that the initial reaction to Triple H being on the show was so positive that WWE higher-ups made the call to have him appear on the entire show.

“We’re told originally there wasn’t supposed to be so much Triple H involvement on-screen on Friday’s episode of Smackdown. Originally there were to be more guests featured, but Triple H’s chemistry and social media reaction led to an on-the-fly call to have him stick around throughout the entire show.”

There is no word on if WWE is going to have Triple H and Michael Cole as the commentary team for tonight’s Raw. Make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest on what WWE has planned for tonight’s show.
