Original plans for Mustafa Ali’s WWE return on last night’s episode of Raw have been revealed.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), the plans called for Mustafa Ali to lose his match against The Miz on Raw as of Sunday afternoon.
Despite the planned finish changing, everything else played out as originally planned.
As of last week, creative came up with ideas to bring Ali back to television. The WWE star was scheduled to be at the Raw taping and meet with Johnny Ace after publicly requesting his release in January.
As previously mentioned, Ali’s contract with the company is up in mid-2024 and hasn’t been frozen due to his time away.
We will have further updates on Mustafa Ali when and if they become available.
