Original Plans For PAC AEW Debut Revealed?

Fans were disappointed and then very quickly un-disappointed last week when Jon Moxley was pulled from his match at AEW All Out due to injury, only to be replaced by PAC.

There have been a number of conflicting reports on this, some which have said PAC was always going to appear on the show in some capacity, and others that say he was a last minute replacement and never originally scheduled to appear.

Well hold onto your hats because we’ve got a new report from Wrestling Observer Radio.

According to Dave Meltzer, it is thought that PAC may well have been appearing on the show as a surprise run in at some point, but when Moxley got his elbow infection, the decision was taken to replace him with PAC and scrap any other potential angles with the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

As we reported earlier today, AEW is still hoping to hold the Moxley vs. Omega match as soon as possible and even possibly on the debut TNT show on October 2.

It will be the first time we have seen PAC in action in an AEW ring since he was announced as having signed in January of this year.

He was due to take on Hangman Page at Double or Nothing, but for unknown reasons, the match was pulled from the card and instead took place at WrestleGate the week beforehand.
