Overnight Viewership For March 19 WWE SmackDown Revealed

The overnight viewership for last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX has been revealed, and it’s not great news for WWE.

Last night’s SmackDown show, according to ShowBuzz Daily, brought in an average of 1.9455 million viewers. This is down from the 2.01 million figure that last week’s show (March 12) brought in.

The show last night, which saw Sasha Banks retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Nia Jax, and a singles match between Edge and Jey Uso, also brought in a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Below is the hour-by-hour breakdown for the show, which shows that people opted to tune in for the show towards the end, with Edge wrestling his first match on SmackDown since returning last year.

Hour One: 1.868 million viewers (0.5 rating)

Hour Tw: 2.023 million viewers (0.5 rating)

WWE will be hoping to see a post-pay-per-view viewership bump next week for SmackDown following Fastlane tomorrow night, especially considering we are just a few weeks away from WrestleMania 37.
