Overnight Viewership For SmackDown Ahead Of WrestleMania Backlash

The overnight viewership numbers for last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown ahead of Sunday’s WrestleMania Backlash have been revealed.

As reported by TV Series Finale, the show drew an average of 1.8 million viewers overnight and a 0.4 rating in the important 18-49 demographic.

The overnight viewership numbers are generally slightly less than the final ones that come out after the weekend, but last week’s final SmackDown viewership was 2.282 million.

Of course, last week’s show was advertised as the special ‘Throwback’ edition, but this week’s was the final before the pay-per-view.

The only match WWE had announced before the show was a Women’s Tag Team Title match with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs Natalya and Tamina.

This is despite the fact the show also included Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin vs Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cesaro vs Jimmy Uso.

We’ll keep you posted when the final viewership numbers come out on Monday.
