Paige has taken to Twitter to respond to rumours regarding a potential in-ring return.
Whispers began swirling that WWE could be preparing for the former SmackDown General Manager to return to in-ring competition following the opening segment of Raw in which Asuka spat green mist in her face.
Paige tweeted, presumably sarcastically:
“Yep this is obviously true. Now if someone could lend me their neck that would be great…”
The former Divas and NXT Women’s Champion announced her official in-ring retirement on the April 9, 2018 episode of Raw, then a night later was named SmackDown GM.
This came as a result of repeated neck issues, with seemingly the final nail in the coffin being a Sasha Banks kick at a December 27, 2017 house show.
She had the GM role until the McMahons did their stupid “new era” announcement on the December 17, 2018 Raw, after which see vanished for a bit then reappeared as the manager for the Kabuki Warriors – Asuka and Kairi Sane.
She recently had another neck surgery, hence why she went missing for a bit until this past Monday, where the Women’s Tag Champs seemingly severed ties with the Brit.
