Paige Says She Would Be Terrified To Return To The Ring

Paige has said that she would be terrified to return to the ring after retiring from in-ring competition on the WWE Raw after WrestleMania 34 in April 2018 at the age of just 25.

Speaking with NXT UK star Mark Andrews on his My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast, Paige explained that even if she was cleared, she’d be terrified to step back into the ring, saying:

“And even if I was able to come back, it’s always that mental block now because I thought I was good to come back the first time I had neck surgery and I was like confident, I was still doing the same things I did prior even though I probably shouldn’t have been doing that, you know, like wrestling move-wise and then to come back again, I would be completely terrified. Like in my head, I’m terrified to come back. Even if my heart is saying, ‘Yes! I would love to.’ It’s like getting over that mental block of ever being able to step back in the ring again.”

Paige has previously spoken about how the in-ring returns of Daniel Bryan and Edge have made her look at the possibility of stepping back into the ring, with her last match coming in December 2017.
