Painmaker Returns To AEW In Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match

Tonight’s (July 20) Shark Week themed edition of AEW Dynamite featured not only a shark cage but the return of the Painmaker.

Chris Jericho’s more violent character iteration, the Painmaker, made his return to AEW tonight in the main event which thus far is delivering on it’s promise of being a ‘Barbed Wire Everywhere Death Match’ with both Kingston and Jericho, covered in blood.

With the Jericho Appreciation Society unable to interfere as they’re suspended above the ring in a shark cage in apparent homage to Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, Ruby Soho was at ringside, with the controls to the cage.

Elsewhere on the show, House of Black kicked off the Shark Week themed edition standing tall with some intriguing events, Swerve in our Glory hosted a Championship Celebration and a former NXT 2.0 star made their debut and got a title shot.
