WWE has announced the lineups for Groups A and B for the tournament to determine an interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion starting this Wednesday.
Each group consists of four members, and the one with the best record from each group after they have all faced each other once will progress to face each other in the final. If there are any ties, the head-to-head will settle who goes through.
First announced was Group A, which consists of:
- Kushida
- Drake Maverick
- Tony Nese
- Jake Atlas
Group B is as follows:
- Isaiah Scott
- El Hijo del Fantasma
- Akira Tozawa
- Jack Gallagher
One would presume that when the coronavirus pandemic has calmed down, Jordan Devlin, who is the champion at the moment but can’t travel, will face whoever the interim champion is at the time to determine a ‘real champion’.
