Pat McAfee Beats Happy Corbin At WWE SummerSlam

Pat McAfee Beats Happy Corbin At WWE SummerSlam WWE

After his awesome debut at WrestleMania 38, Pat McAfee left the commentary desk for in-ring action again at WWE SummerSlam.

To a literal men’s choir singing him in with a chorus of “Bum A** Corbin,” Pat McAfee had his second major match in WWE as he took on recent rival, Happy Corbin.

In a fun match which saw legitimately impressive moves from the commentator, continued to prove that the WWE Next in Line model of recruiting athletes from other arenas for professional wrestling training is obviously not a futile effort!

After the match, new head of creative Triple H took to Twitter to pay Pat high praise, writing:

Entertainment from start to finish. @PatMcAfeeShow is absolutely one of a kind. #SummerSlam

With Michael Cole literally jumping up and down at the excitement for McAfee’s win, the end of the celebration saw a little standoff between McAfee and Corey Graves where Pat dropped a little back in the day DX reference as he did at the end of the match, leaving little imagination to the two words he had for both Corbin and Graves.

So far on WWE SummerSlam 2022, a major WWE Raw Women’s Championship match plus the angle after which saw the return of three major stars to WWE screens as well as Logan Paul taking on the Miz in his second match in WWE.

Up now, Montez Ford and his Street Profits tag team partner Angelo Dawkins are taking on the Bloodline’s Jimmy & Jey Uso for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

Also, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan may be the champ but she’s being widely considered the underdog in her title defense against powerhouse and former champ, Ronda Rousey.
