Pat McAfee Comments On WWE Future

After “a lot of chatter,” about him, Pat McAfee has broken his silence and reacted to discussions about his WWE future on Twitter.

This comes after Wade Barrett said in an interview earlier today that his role on the SmackDown commentary team is “as permanent as you can ever be in a role in WWE”, despite the initial belief months ago that he was just a temporary replacement until McAfee returned.

Taking to this Twitter account on the holy Stone Cold Steve Austin celebrating day of March 16, McAfee wrote:

“A lot of wrestling chatter about me right now..

“I think about wrestling everyday..that dream isn’t done.

“My business is currently rather active and exigent…+ baby on the way…timing is everything

“I still have MASSIVE plans for my journey to the WWE HOF someday.

“Believe that.”

Pat McAfee has been absent from WWE television since taking a role on ESPN College Game Day in the Fall.

He made a triumphant and surprise return to open the WWE Royal Rumble, not as a participant but rather back on commentary for the night much to the delight of fans.

We’ll have to anxiously await the potential return of Pat McAfee, it is likely to be some time from now.

Pat McAfee and lovely wife Samantha are expecting their first child in May 2023.
