Pat McAfee Replaced For WWE Raw

Pat McAfee Replaced For WWE Raw WWE

WWE Raw announcer Pat McAfee was replaced on tonight’s January 20, 2025 episode of the show streaming live on Netflix.

Pat McAfee returned to WWE on January 6 to form the regular Raw on Netflix announce team with Michael Cole.

However, McAfee was absent from tonight’s show due to being part of ESPN’s football coverage.

As revealed at the start of tonight’s show, Cole was joined by SmackDown’s Wade Barrett, filling in for McAfee.

Barrett partners Joe Tessitore as the regular announce team for SmackDown on the USA Network.

A lot will likely be made of the fact that Barrett – and not Corey Graves – was chosen to replace McAfee tonight.

At the start of the year, Graves was moved off main roster commentary, instead joining Vic Joseph and Booker T for NXT on the CW Network.

However, Graves publicly voiced his frustration about what he seemingly viewed as a demotion to NXT, and is now no longer planned for that show either.

A new report earlier today revealed Graves’ current WWE contract length – find out more at this link.
