An update has emerged on WWE’s plans for Pat McAfee, with Triple H commenting on his future with the company.
There has been some uncertainty surrounding Pat McAfee’s WWE status, with the former NFL star leaving his WWE Raw commentary position in August ahead of returning to College Gameday at the beginning of the football season.
Speaking during the media event at Netflix HQ (via USA Today), Triple H ‘let the cat out of the bag’ and revealed that there are plans for Pat McAfee to return to the Raw commentary team full-time.
Triple H said:
“Letting the cat out of the bag a little bit right now. Pat’s actually about to come back with us here, full-time on Monday Night Raw.”
McAfee stated that McAfee will be back with Michael Cole, who is currently serving as a commentator on SmackDown alongside Corey Graves.
WWE is preparing for its big move to Netflix, with the streaming platform to become the home of WWE Raw in the US, and the home of all WWE programming in international territories.
A Netflix executive has addressed the platform’s previous buffering issues when streaming live events ahead of WWE joining the platform, which you can read more about right here.
