There’s a major update on the status of Pat McAfee at tonight’s May 12 edition of WWE Raw from Louisville, Kentucky.
UPDATE – 20 minutes into the show, Pat McAfee made his entrance before the first match and is on commentary tonight.
He said he’d been checked by medical and cleared to be ringside for the show.
McAfee had a match against GUNTHER at Backlash two nights ago and was looking worse for wear afterwards.
McAfee has been the Raw announce partner for Michael Cole since the start of the year, but the Backlash match put that into question.
At least to kick off Raw tonight, McAfee is not present at the announce desk as Michael Cole was sat on his own without a partner.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates including if McAfee does end up being on tonight’s show, but right now in the first few minutes, he isn’t on commentary.
The show opened with CM Punk on the microphone for the first since WrestleMania after he cost Seth Rollins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last week.
Punk was interrupted by Paul Heyman, Rollins and Bron Breakker.
A brawl broke out which saw Sami Zayn and Jey Uso both attempt to save Punk, which resulted in Rollins and Breakker from fleeing the ring.
