According to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio, Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman is very keen on bringing a couple of SmackDown’s brightest stars over to Raw.
The first of those is Aleister Black, who made a rare appearance on Raw last night to fend off the pointless threat of the Singh Brothers. This may have been done to remind Raw fans that he does in fact still exist despite all the evidence to the contrary.
The other is Buddy Murphy, who had a couple of excellent matches with Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns during the Reigns/Rowan feud, but since then has done very little.
Heyman is apparently very big fans of both men, and would likely make them big stars if they moved to Raw in next week’s draft.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said:
“He was a SmackDown guy, he hadn’t been on RAW. They’re switching guys around and he is a Paul Heyman guy so I kinda figured — there are others — but, the two Paul Heyman guys I know on SmackDown are Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy.”
It will be very interesting to see who Raw gets to keep and who will switch from SmackDown. It seems that WWE is very keen on getting all its biggest stars onto SmackDown now that it’s on FOX, so will Raw be gutted?
