Paul Heyman Praises ‘WrestleMania Main Event’ Worthy Performance Center Trainees

Paul Heyman has recently praised a number of WWE Performance Center trainees, stating that they have the potential to main event WrestleMania.

Currently the Special Counsel to Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Heyman is familiar with managing top WWE stars. A close friend of Brock Lesnar, Heyman had been the advocate for The Beast consistently since his 2013 WWE return.

Many fans have pointed out the striking resemblance between NXT trainee Parker Boudreaux, and Heyman’s former client. While Heyman can see impressive potential in Boudreaux, he has noted that the former football player has some stiff competition down at the WWE Performance Center.

Speaking with William Mullally of Esquire Middle East, Heyman named some of the talent that he thinks have the drive to reach The Show of Shows one day. Mentioning Bourdreaux, Bobby Stevenson and Bronson Rechsteiner, Heyman noted that the next generation of WWE talent already looks great.

Here is the full quote:

“Parker Boudreaux is a very interesting human being that took his education very seriously. He’s not just a meathead. He’s a six foot three, six foot four 300 pound athlete who has one hell of the head on his shoulders. So Parker Boudreaux is doing what everyone else does. He’s starting from the bottom. He has reported to the WWE Performance Center. And he’s got to work his way up to the top. There’s a lot of roadblocks on the way. Do I think he can navigate them? Absolutely.

“Bobby Stevenson is in his class. Bobby Stevenson is from the University of Minnesota, Brock’s alumni. It’s a Bobby Steveson’s brother Gable Steveson has publicly declared his intention to either go to the Olympics UFC or WWE. And he’s the number one college wrestler on the face of the planet today.

“Rick Steiner’s son is in the current PC class. There’s someone else that could truly become a huge star for the next 20 to 25 years. So there’s a crop out there of hot talent that’s ready to become the next generation of WrestleMania main events. Parker Boudreaux has some very stiff competition to deal with.”

Owning ECW before the promotion took down the ring for the final time, Heyman has more recently shown his creative prowess producing WWE programming. It is a very big deal that the aforementioned stars were on the radar of the veteran producer.

Heyman’s current client, Roman Reigns, is currently set to battle Edge at WrestleMania 37. With tickets going on sale yesterday, it is being reported that this year’s WrestleMania wasn’t an instant sell-out.
