Guessing who the next Paul Heyman guy (or girl) might be after Brock Lesnar has become something of a meme. Speculation has ranged from Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns to the idea that Heyman could head up a stable of some kind. No matter what the prediction might be, it’s a no-brainer that Heyman is too valuable a talent to let fade into darkness.
The Wrestling Observer reminds us that “the Baddest Woman on the Planet” Ronda Rousey should not be left out of the discussion when it comes to what’s next for Paul Heyman. According to the Observer, pairing the two has been talked about since before Lesnar extended his contract in April, and that door may be opening again.
Keeping Heyman on Raw would seem best for business, considering his vast promo ability, and successful track record as advocate for “the Beast Incarnate.” As Rousey, like Lesnar, brings legitimate fighting credentials to the pro wrestling ring, it would be easy for Heyman’s hype machine to get behind her, or act as her mouthpiece making her the first Paul Heyman Girl.
