Paul Heyman’s role in the Georgia Tech WWE segment featuring Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes on SmackDown has been revealed.
The WrestleMania 40 main eventers will team up at the October 5 Bad Blood premium live event, with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes set to face off against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
Ahead of then, Reigns and Rhodes met up at Georgia Tech to form an agreement in a cinematic segment which aired on Friday’s (September 20) SmackDown episode.
After Cody Rhodes asked for Reigns to give him his word that he’ll have his back, Reigns gave his word, before warning Rhodes that he will eventually come for the WWE Championship.
PWInsider previously reported that WWE Senior Director of Content and Development Jeremy Borash and Director of Character Development Rob Fee were both on location, with Borash producing the segment.
A new report from PWInsider has revealed that Paul Heyman also contributed to the Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes SmackDown segment.
Heyman was said to be ‘intricately involved’, personally directing talent for the scene.
Paul Heyman hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since getting taken out by the Bloodline on the June 28 SmackDown episode.
