Well it’s the Paul Wight, yeah it’s a Paul Wight’s show tonight. Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it, but no matter.
Since he made the switch from WWE to AEW, the former Big Show has only had three matches, and has spent the vast majority of his time commentating on AEW Dark: Elevation.
However, it looks like he is planning to return to wrestling in the near future if he can convince AEW President Tony Khan to let him into the ring.
On March 30, AEW Dynamite will be taped in Columbia, South Carolina, which just so happens to be Wight’s hometown, so he’s understandably excited at the prospect of possibly wrestling.
“I’m really hoping that a lot of fans will come out and experience AEW and see the difference. Myself, I’m talking to Tony Khan, I can’t exactly go book myself, but I’m trying real hard to get a match going so I can at least wrestle in my hometown in Columbia. I’m looking forward to competing that night. If not, I’ll definitely be there doing Elevation and doing commentary.”
His last match came on October 25 last year, when he defeated Arjun Singh, Carlie Bravo & Cole Karter on AEW Dark: Elevation.
