People In WWE Didn’t Expect Sonya Deville Back For Months

Taking to Twitter during Friday Night SmackDown last week, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful noted that some people within WWE didn’t expect Sonya Deville to be back on TV for a number of months.

There were a lot of people in WWE that didn't expect Sonya Deville back for months to come, so this is a big shot in the arm.

For those who don’t know, Sonya Deville appeared on WWE TV for the first time since SummerSlam in August last week on SmackDown. Commentary noted that she’d been reinstated to the SmackDown roster.

This has been followed up by a report that indicated that very few people knew that Deville would be returning until she was seen on our TV screens, with WWE doing their best to keep her return “under wraps”.

Some have speculated that Sonya Deville is one of the favourites to win the women’s Royal Rumble match later this month and progress to a title match at WrestleMania, but this has not been reported as of yet.
