It has been announced by British wrestling promotion Progress that current WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will appear on the second evening of their three night tour of Australia on April 20, battling Mike Burr.
Progress will work with three local independent promotions on the tour. They will join forces with Explosive Pro Wrestling in Perth on April 18, Melbourne City Wrestling in the city of the same name on April 20, and Pro Wrestling Australia in Sydney on April 23. In between, they visit Invercargill, New Zealand on April 21.
Despite his WWE contract, the amazing Dunne is still able to tour the indie circuit and currently holds the Destiny World Wrestling Championship and the ATTACK 24/7 Championship along with his WWE honor. The former he will defend against Marty Scurll on April 29 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Pete Dunne won’t be alone on the tour, as Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven and a recovering Tyler Bate) will battle Jack Bonza and Mick Moretti in the Sydney.
At NXT TakeOver: New Orleans on April 7, ‘the Bruiserweight’ teams with Roderick Strong to battle Authors of Pain and the Undisputed Era for the NXT Tag Team Championships. With any luck, his three heavyweight straps won’t be the only gold he takes down under.
