Earlier this week it was announced that top NXT star Adam Cole was currently working without a contract at the moment, with him agreeing to an extension over SummerSlam weekend.
However, Fightful Select (subscription required) has learned that Pete Dunne’s NXT contract is also coming up soon, with one source claiming it would be after SummerSlam weekend, but that date has not been confirmed with WWE or Pete Dunne.
Fightful has learned that the situation was ‘similar to that of Adam Cole’s’ but have not given any additional details besides the fact that his contract is coming up soon.
Fightful was not told if Dunne’s contract has actually expired like Cole’s had, leading to a short-term extension.
